Mechanics of the Zelator Ritual

0. Temple

• The 1=10 Sign invokes the powers of Earth.  The sign is used repeatedly in opening to strengthen current of Earth energy.
• The Fylfot Cross is the Neophyte’s physical link to the Earth energy of the Temple .  It is placed on the Earth altar in the North during the Opening and then given to the Neophyte to carry through rest of ritual.

1. Opening

• Temple opened, members tiled, and Hall is consecrated and purified.
• Hierophant invokes element of Earth in Qabalistic and Enochian systems.
• The circle, cross, and invoking Passive Spirit Pentagram are visualized in white light.  The Invoking Earth Pentagram is visualized in green.
• The Earth Tablet is activated when Hierophant intones Great Name of Power and the name of the Elemental King (in Enochian.)

2. The Ceremony of the Three Paths

• Neophyte brought over threshold of the Hall by Hegemon.
• Neophyte tiled for 0=0, swears Oath, and hoodwink is removed.
• Transition: Hierophant’s oration.
• Neophyte barred entry to left-hand path by Hiereus/Nuit. 
• Neophyte barred entry to right-hand path by Hegemon/Hadit.
• Neophyte allowed to pass on middle path by Hierophant/Babalon.
• Elements of the Temple are explained and the Neophyte is given the Mysteries of the Zelator Hall. 

3. The Temple in Malkuth

• Neophyte brought over threshold of the Hall.
• Neophyte is tiled for 0=0 and 1=10 before being admitted between pillars.
• Hegemon explains Girdle of Nuit.
• Hiereus explains Lamps of Hadit.
• Hierophant explains altar symbolism.
• New Zelator announced by Kerux.

4. Closing

• Hall closed by reciting Elemental prayer of Earth.
• Hierophant makes banishing pentagrams.
• Temple declared closed.
